10/2007 - First Ukraine Trials Results In - Sugar Beets...
Our first results of trials in Ukraine are in for sugar beets. There was only one application of Vitazyme done June 11th at the 4-5 leaf stage at a rate of 1.5l per hectare.
A sampling of 12 plants was taken in mid-October. Weight of the control harvest was 3.2 kg and the weight of the Vitazyme treated sugar beets was 4.0 kg. Yield increase averaged 25%! See the photos below

Notice the more uniform development and better sizing of the Vitazyme (Витазим) beets vs. the control (Контроль).

09/2007 - New Zealand Shipment Arrives!
Our first pallet of Organic Vitazyme to New Zealand has arrived. We received word from Rob de Borst at Mantissa Corporation, Ltd. that the pallet has cleared customs and is now in his warehouse. We have agreed with Mantissa that they will be our distributor of Organic Vitazyme in New Zealand. They are currently registering Vitazyme with BioGro for New Zealand Organic Certification. We will update you once the certification is in place.
Rob plans on doing 100 hectares worth of Vitazyme trials on a wide variety of crops. We are looking forward to seeing Vitazyme increase the quality and yield of crops in New Zealand. Our Contact us page has Rob's contact information if you would like to set up a trial for Vitazyme or purchase for your farm.
07 & 08/2007 - Ukraine & Moldova Visit
In July we traveled to Ukraine to visit farmers who have begun applications using Vitazyme purchased through CJSC Agrimatco - Ukraine. We started our trip by traveling to Moldova to meet with some prospective distributors of Vitazyme as our registration is proceeding as planned. We had some very positive meetings and plan on having a distributor lined up for next seasons applications.
The majority of our trip was spent throughout Ukraine traveling with the Director of Research at Vital Earth, Paul Syltie, and two of Agrimatco-Ukraine's best managers Sergei Velychko, Head of Drip Irrigation Unit and Yevgeniy Moskalyov, Head of Fertilizers Unit. What we found was astounding. Many applications went on late due to some shipping related delays on the container, and missed optimum timeframes for the first applications. Even so, we were able to see many positive effects of Vitazyme on all crops.
We also were able to meet with many Agronomists and Directors of farming operations to get them to trial Vitazyme on many crops. We expect to receive much data regarding yield increases from Ukraine, and start some important trials on some crops that have not been trailed with Vitazyme yet. Crops such as winter rape, have never benefited from Vitazyme use and we are interested to see how much of a benefit it can be. We are also excited to have Agrimatco start trials this year on sunflower, another crop which has never been tested with Vitazyme. Preliminary results show on average larger sunflower heads, but the real test will be when the crop results are weighed.
Below we will show some of the photos from the sample pulled directly in the fields.

Onions in drought conditions averaged a 5% increase in yield. The cabbage under drip irrigation had substantial increase in consistency, leaf size and chlorophyll content as well as better root structure.

In studies initiated by the Grape Institute in Crimea, we found excellent results. In white wine grapes there was better coloration, more consistent fill of grapes, and better bunch development. For the red table grapes we found the same results plus an dramatic increase in brix. An increase that could be tasted by all who were present.

These tomatoes under irrigation have still two full months left in production. The picture is a little deceiving as the Vitazyme side had only one picking, while the control side had two. Even so, the results are dramatic considering the development time for the fruit left to go. We would expect 30-50% increase in this trial.

It is very clear in these pictures which crop would be preferable. The farmer who was with us during the trial was very happy and was going to measure yield differences and already agreed to do all his vegetables with Vitazyme next year. He was so impressed, he placed an order for use on his winter rape this year! Very smart man.
